About the Author
Kay Witschen grew up in Rimersburg, PA. She joined the Marine Corps after high school where she eventually met and married her husband "Dick". After moving to St. Cloud, MN (Dick's Hometown), Kay attended Saint Cloud State University, and has spent 25 years working in various libraries. She retired as Foley Branch Librarian in 1997.
About the Illustrators
Norma Luckemeyer is a Saint Cloud, MN native. She attended the college of St. Benedict and graduated from Saint Cloud State University with a degree in Art. Norma worked for the St. Cloud School District 742 for 15 years doing various artwork for teachers. She is now retired and spends her leisure time doing oil paintings, watercolors, and pastel drawings.
Tessa Kay Witschen-Boelz is the 14 year old granddaughter of Kay Witschen. She lives in Saint Cloud, MN, and attends St. Cloud Technical High School.
Leslie Schumacher is a central MN artist. She also serves as the executive director for the Central MN Arts Board, one of eleven regional arts councils serving the state of Minnesota.
About the Books
